COVID-19: Stay home, take care of yourself and others!

As we find ourselves in an unprecedented situation that is turning our lives upside down for several days, I would like to assure you of my support as well as that of all our teams during this time. The news and measures surrounding Covid-19 have made a strong impression on us.

We have never experienced anything like this, and it is precisely during these difficult times that we realize we can only emerge stronger together.

We deeply admire the healthcare staff dedicated to those affected by the coronavirus. We know that we ask a lot from them.

They work long hours, spend less time with their families, and are at an increased risk of contracting the virus. Yet, you don't hear them complaining, and they are passionate about their work for all of us.

We can count on them if our family or friends are affected by the coronavirus.

The confinement will last several more weeks, so we must more than ever maintain and strengthen our ties with our loved ones so that this isolation does not make us forget what unites us and makes us a united community. In a few words: communicate, exchange, and continue to share.

The health and safety of families and caregivers are extremely important.

So, here are some reminders of basic hygiene and precautionary measures:
- Wash your hands thoroughly several times a day and certainly after each visit to the toilet. Use soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid contact with sick people because the virus is transmitted from person to person.
- Stay home if you are sick.
- Completely cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing with a tissue or, failing that, in the crook of your arm.
- Throw the tissues in the trash after a single use.
- Clean and disinfect frequently used objects (pens, telephones, handles, and other surfaces).
- Avoid confined atmospheres.
- Avoid shaking hands.

This is a major challenge for the trade sector, which has a key role to play in the crisis we are experiencing.

Trade will indeed guarantee social ties but also the ability of our economic fabric to withstand this shock.
In this context, even before the announcement of the first instructions related to Covid-19, we have implemented all the measures to ensure the continuity of Askaide and its services.
